Our 13 year old flat roof sprung a leak causing moisture intrusion and mold in our primary bedroom. We contacted several local roofers, but few were available to fix this urgently. One referred Hepler to use because of their expertise with residential flat roofs. TJ came out within a few days, found the leak and patched it temporarily before he was able to come do a proper replacement. He identified a number of issues with the original roof installation (we had multiply leaks in a different location in our 10 years here) and noted some recommendations for a longer lasting roof suitable for solar panels. He came back within 2 weeks to complete the roof replacement, including replacing a leaking gutter that was causing ice issues on our decks below. It was a relief dealing with such a professional considering the problems we've had with the roof and repairs by others. I can't recommend highly enough!

However, upon examining, he discovered the previous owner had sponge gutter guards (absolutely terrible) and removed a portion of it. Completely fixed the issue. The Hepler Contracting company just finish replacing the shingles on my roof. Over the years there were some issues resulting from leaks. The materials were delivered and the workers showed up on time. I have to say I never saw a more professional, knowledgeable and very hard working crew. Even though in was January temperatures in the 20s and 30s they worked none stop. The old shingles were removed and the damaged decking removed and some flashing repaired and 47 square of new shingles installed all in a total of ten hours. I reached out to Hepler Contracting with a leaky roof. Nate came and took a look on Christmas Eve and advised me on two paths forward. He showed me pictures of the roof and explained what was going on up there. We could either fix the issue at hand or replace the roof (as there were other issues identified once they were on the roof). He also took the time to explain to me in laymen’s terms what the issues were.
Hepler Contracting sent me two quotes that were competitive, for both the repair and replacement option. The quotes were sent via email and were very detailed as far as what work would be completed and what warranties were offered.
We ended up deciding on a new roof, and Nate was able to patch the roof to get us thru the winter until spring when the roof will be replaced. After Nate patched the roof, he showed me pictures of the fix. I’m very pleased with the work he did and am confident in our decision to have Hepler Contracting replace the roof in a few months. Nick and Nate were good guys to work with, and I’m looking forward to seeing the final product.
